PCPA is hosting its annual fundraiser for the performing arts and needs your help.
Every year, the Santa Maria-based program grants more than half a million dollars in scholarships to about 150 students. This year, they need the public's help to raise $200,000. The money goes to support incoming actors and technicians working on the summer productions, who otherwise could not participate.
"When people give to the scholarship campaign, they're not only helping a young artist develop but they get the immediate return in that those folks are putting on great plays," said PCPA Artistic Director Mark Boher.
PCPA has already raised more than $50,000 toward its $200,000 goal.
