Penny's breast cancer benefit raises $13,013 for Jacqualyn Palchak Cancer Fund

Penny's All American Cafe's Seventh Annual Steppin' Out for Breast Cancer benefit raised $13,013 for the Jacqualyn Palchak Cancer Fund.

Penny Rodriguez has been selling t-shirts, mugs, and raffle tickets all leading up to last weekend's cancer benefit.

On Saturday, she presented a check to the Jacqualyn Palchak Cancer fund, which is a local organization dedicated to cancer research, cancer patient services, and patient support.

"A lot of the money is to support the research program so that patients have an option of choosing a clinical trial and access to cutting edge treatments and therapies," said Marie Palchak, the President of the Jacqualyn Palchak Cancer Fund.

The Palchak Cancer Fund has been on the Central Coast for ten years, and Marie says Penny's has been fundraising for them for four years.
