The Arroyo Grande High girls water polo team honored its senior players on Thursday, the same way the team's honored their seniors last year and every year for that matter since 2004.
The Eagles cruised by St. Joseph 13-2 to close out their PAC-7 League schedule a perfect 12-0. Arroyo Grande extended its league winning streak to 90 games, a run that dates back to 2003.
Arroyo Grande has wrapped up its ninth-straight title and eighth-straight perfect run through league matches.
Senior Katie Sverchek led the balanced Eagles scoring attack with 3 goals. Kelsey Hitchen added 2 goals. Kylie Anderson made 10 saves in goal for AG.
The Eagles finished the regular season with a 24-5 overall record. They will begin their quest for a CIF Division 3 title next week. The playoff brackets will be released Sunday morning.
