The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says the permit burn ban has been lifted as the county transitions into low fire season.

This means that people who have a valid permit to burn on their property can now do so, starting at 7 a.m. and no later than 4 p.m.. Smoke may be visible as a result of these permitted burns.

Fire officials want to remind anyone burning with a permit that it is still possible to have wildfires in the winter months in Southern California.
