PG&E hopes to restore power to San Luis Obispo County by 11:30 p.m.

3400 customers are without power in San Luis Obispo County.

PG&E is currently working to restore power.

Initially, 5600 customers lost power.

The outage happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. It's impacting people in Arroyo Grande, Grover Beach, Pismo Beach, Atascadero, and Templeton.

The Walmart and Trader Joe's in Arroyo Grande were temporarily closed because of the outage.

According to the Five Cities Fire Authority, a power line went down in the 800 block of South Halcyon Road in Arroyo Grande. At this time, it hasn't been confirmed if that is the cause of the outage.

PG&E says a wire is down as a result of the outage, but they don't know why the wire went down in the first place.

They hope to have power restored to everyone by 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
