New research suggests a combination of more physical activity and less sedentary time is the best way to reduce the risk of obesity.
A study of more than 3,000 adults found exercise had a much stronger link to obesity than sitting time, but the lowest odds were among those who moved the most and sat the least.
Scientists were surprised to find those with the lowest risk of obesity-related diseases had intermediate levels of exercise and sedentary time.
