Physical activity may help protect elderly adults from dementia.
A new study from UCLA finds a strong association between an active lifestyle in old age and greater gray matter volume in areas of the brain crucial for cognitive function.
It wasn't just one activity but a combination, like gardening and dancing, that seemed to have the greatest effect.
