The pilot of an experimental aircraft that went down in northern San Luis Obispo Monday afternoon reported that the plane's engine lost power and that he had to glide the plane down for an emergency landing.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says the pilot walked away with a few scratches and that he was the only person onboard.
The sheriff's office says the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are sending representatives to investigate the crash.
