The Orange County Pioneers completed a three-game sweep over the San Luis Obispo Blues on Thursday with a 7-0 win in Sinsheimer Stadium. The Blues fell to 11-7 in California Collegiate League action and 16-9 overall. They've lost three in a row for the first time this season and are 0-3 since being ranked 5th in the nation.

The Pioneers erupted for four runs in the third inning against Gandy Stubblefield. They added another run in the fourth to take a 5-0 lead and prompt the removal of Stubblefield. The sophomore right-hander out of Texas A&M was tagged for 5 runs, 4 of them were earned, on 5 hits in 3 1/3 innings pitched.

SLO tallied just four hits in the game, led by 2 from Nick Flair.

The Blues look to get back on track Friday when they open a weekend series at home against Menlo Park. First pitch at Sinsheimer Stadium at 6pm.
