Officials at Yosemite National Park say a small plane that was reported missing over Yosemite National Park in December of 2012 has been found.
A park visitor near Vogelsang High Sierra Camp spotted the plane wreckage on Saturday.
Park rangers hiked to the location and also found the body of the pilot, Nicol Wilson, of Solvang.
Wilson was reported missing on December 17th. He was traveling from Santa Ynez to the Mammoth Lakes Airport when his plane disappeared from radar during a winter storm.
Park rangers and other rescue crews searched Yosemite for Wilson's plane, but the search was suspended because of the winter weather.
