The California Highway Patrol says a small airplane made an emergency landing on Highway 101 because it was low on fuel.
Santa Barbara County Firefighters say the aircraft landed near Gaviota around 4:30 Friday afternoon.
Fire crews say no one was injured in the incident.
The highway was briefly closed because of the incident, but traffic was back to normal by Friday evening.
The CHP says the airplane was refueled and took off again on the side of Highway 101.
