According to the Federal Aviation Administration website, the plane that crashed Monday afternoon was registered to a business based in downtown San Luis Obispo.
The owner of the building says police came by Monday afternoon to find out more information.
He declined to comment on who the plane might be registered to.
The FAA website also says the plane was purchased in Napa in May.
