Toxicology reports for a Cal Poly student killed while walking in the middle of the road last month show he had alcohol and pot in his system at the time of the incident, police say.
San Luis Obispo police officers say Kent Boswell, 22, had a BAC of .23, nearly three times the legal limit.
Cal Poly says Boswell was a senior finance major.
Police say he was in the middle of the road when the accident happened February 8 shortly before 5 a.m. on the 4300 block of South Higuera.
Boswell's death marks the fourth Cal Poly student death this school year alone.
Police say the 25-year-old driver was not under the influence.
