Police looking for man who showed firearm, demanded money from two people Sunday morning

The Lompoc Police Department is looking for a man who they say robbed people at a gas station and a bank ATM in Lompoc on Sunday morning.

Police say around 4:15 a.m., the man, described as a black male adult, entered U.S.A. Gas Station Market at 1000 North H Street and showed a firearm to the victim before demanding cash.

They say he apologized to the victim, saying he needed money, before he left.

Police say about three hours later, at 7:25 a.m., a person matching the man's description approached someone else at the Rabobank ATM, 828 North H Street.

They say he also demanded money from that victim after showing a firearm, and then headed westbound across H Street to Oak Avenue.

Police say the man is soft spoken, in his mid-20s or 30s, between 5'8'' and 6'' tall, with a thin build.

They say he was wearing a large black varsity-type jacket with stripes on the collar and gray sleeves, with a large design of a unicorn or dragon on the back.

He was also wearing dark pants and converse-type shoes with black tops and white toes.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Lompoc Police Department.
