Police in Santa Maria are looking for a man they say robbed a store clerk, armed with a knife.

The robbery happened just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hearts Desire store in the Santa Maria Town Center Mall.

Officers say the male suspect entered the store before pulling out a knife and demanding money.

After getting some cash, he then ran off. There is no word on how much money he took.

The clerk was not hurt. Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 20's. Officers say he's about 5' 8" tall, with a medium build and very short black hair.

If you have any information, please call the Santa Maria Police Department.
