Police: Malfunction in illegal drug manufacturing operation caused structure fire

Two people are facing possible charges in connection with a structure fire in San Luis Obispo over the weekend.

The San Luis Obispo police and fire departments responded to the 500 block of Stoneridge around 2:15 Sunday afternoon.

Police say after the fire was put out, evidence was found that the fire was started by a malfunction in an illegal drug manufacturing operation.

Police say they found Honey Oil, also known as Hash Oil, which contains highly concentrated amounts of THC.

Police arrested Camden Knoll, 26, from Arroyo Grande. His bail is set at $500,000.

Aaron McBurney, 31, from San Luis Obispo, was not arrested, but was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries he sustained in the fire.

Police say he may also be charged.
