San Luis Obispo police have seen an increase in prowling-related activity over the past few weeks.
They say it's happening in the area of Sandercock and Broad Streets.
On one occasion, a prowler entered a home where a young woman was sleeping inside. She says she woke up and confronted the man, and he fled.
The prowler in that incident is described as a 5'4" Hispanic man, between 45 and 55-years-old, with short black hair and a mustache.
Police say they don't know if the prowling is being done by one or more people.
They urge you to report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood to police. Citizens are also asked to lock their doors and windows to reduce the chances of being affected.
Anyone with any information about the current prowling investigations is encouraged to contact the police department.
