Charles Tamae is a landscape architecture major at Cal poly. His classmates and roommate say he missed a major presentation today and that is causing even more concern. Tamae was last seen in an afternoon class on Monday but he did not show up for his evening classes. He lives near campus and bikes to school, that black beach cruiser is also missing.
KSBY News spoke with Tamae's roommate earlier today, he was visibly upset and worried. He says Tamae does not return home form time to time because of his architecture labs and projects, but the fact that he has missed three days of class and a major presentation is unheard of.
"I'm really hoping that it's something that has to do with stress, something like that, instead of something more serious," said Harrison Luce, Tamae's roommate.
"I was worrried that he was sick, or something was going on because it is not normal to not show up for that many days," said Claire Fliesler, Tamae's classmate. "Now that it's been confirmed he's missing, I'm definitely worried about him."
Students are doing all they can to help find him. They are exchanging text messages and emails to get the word out about his disappearance. They have also set up a Facebook page to help in the search. They are asking anyone who may have seen him to post information on that page and of course, call police.
Students will meet on campus at 6:30 tonight to update one another on the situation. They will then head to farmer's market in San Luis Obispo to hand out flyers and rasie more awareness.
