The Santa Maria Police Department will hold a DUI and driver's license checkpoint on Saturday, April 3.
The checkpoint will take place from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on a street in Santa Maria that police have identified as having a large number of DUI drivers.
Every driver passing through the checkpoint will be stopped and evaluated for sobriety and possession of a valid driver's license.
