HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard says crews have cleared up a pollution threat after a fishing boat ran aground near Half Moon Bay early Saturday.
A Coast Guard spokesman says the only person on board the 45-foot Fjord Queen II was rescued after it ran into rocks near Pillar Point around 3:10 a.m.
Coast Guard spokesman Lt. j.g. Josh Dykman says the boat remains aground, but crews have removed about 240 gallons of diesel fuel on board the boat.
