Love was in the air in Avila Beach on Sunday.
The 21st annual Pops by the Sea event was held at the Avila Beach Golf Resort.
The family-friendly event featured an afternoon of romance music as the San Luis Obispo Symphony presented "Pops Romántico."
A Maestro's Baton Auction was also held again this year.
Organizers say many people usually work together for the auction to purchase the baton as a surprise for a community leader.
This year's winner was former San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce Director Dave Garth.
After being awarded with the baton, Garth led the symphony in "Stars and Stripes Forever."
Organizers say the event is a lot of fun because it is held at Avila Beach, the music is amazing, and this year, the 75-piece orchestra played music of love.
About 3,000 people attended Pops by the Sea, which is a fundraiser for the symphony.
Organizers say between $20,000 and $30,000 was raised for music education at this year's event.
