Porn actress' positive HIV test spurs state probe

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - California workplace safety officials are investigating a San Francisco-based adult film studio over a shoot involving a performer who tested positive for HIV.

The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/18bEtXa ) the state Division of Occupational Safety and Health opened the investigation Thursday into Kink Studios in response to a complaint filed by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

The woman, who performs under the name Cameron Bay, received a positive test result last week.

Spokesman Mike Stabile says Kink gave OSHA inspectors access to its studios and walked them through the company's safety protocols.

On Tuesday a porn industry group lifted a week-old moratorium on adult film production that was prompted by the HIV scare. The Free Speech Coalition lifted the ban after all performers who worked with Bay were medically cleared.
