A PG&E spokesman says the lights are back on for many customers who lost power in San Luis Obispo County.

About 2,000 customers lost power at about 8:20 a.m. in areas of San Luis Obispo, Santa Margarita and Highway 1. As of 9:40 a.m., only 100 customers were still without power.

PG&E says a tree hit some power lines, causing the outage. It expects to have power restored to all customers by noon.
