Power was restored to parts of Cuesta College's San Luis Obispo campus at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, with officials expecting electricity to be fully restored by 8 p.m.
They expect students to be able to access email and the myCUESTA student portal by midnight.
A spokesperson says the power outage late Thursday afternoon was caused by a turkey vulture that landed on a power line.
Classes were canceled for Thursday night. Officials expect classes to resume Friday.
