The power is back on for thousands of people in Arroyo Grande Thursday morning.
PG&E says the power was restored at 11:30 Wednesday night.
The outage was caused by a damaged underground cable.
At its peak, the outage caused around 5,300 customers to lose power.
The city first lost electricity around 3:45 Wednesday afternoon.
