Pozo Fire burns 300 acres, plume of smoke seen from SLO, SB Co.

CAL FIRE says the Pozo Fire has now charred 300 acres and is moving into the Los Padres National Forest area.

The fire started near East Pozo Road and Avenales Road around 12:45p.m. Structures are still threatened. Crews from San Luis Obispo City, Atascadero, ASH, CAL FIRE, and Los Padres National Forest are all battling the flames with the help of six air tankers, four helicopters, three dozers, two water tenders, five hand crews and at least fourteen engines.
