SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - Cal Poly star Mackenzie Pridham is set to step foot on the biggest soccer stage of his life.
Pridham is one of 50 collegiate players who will take part in Major League Soccer's player combine, which begins on Thursday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
"I'm just trying to not get too high and not get too excited and just keep a steady head," said Pridham, "I've just got to take it as another game that I'm going out and playing."
The annual four-day showcase is a chance for organizations to get extended looks at potential draft picks in advance of the upcoming MLS Draft.
"I'm obviously very excited and excited about the opportunity and I'm a little nervous too, but it's good, it's a good nervous."
The MLS player combine runs through Tuesday, January 14th.
