Junior Mackenzie Pridham scored in the 26th and 76th minutes to lead the Cal Poly men's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Cal State Fullerton in its Big West Conference opener on Friday night.

It marked the sixth-straight year the Mustangs won their Conference opener. They improved to 1-0 in Big West play and 6-3 overall.

The Mustangs held Fullerton without a shot attempt for the first 54 minutes and limited the hone team to just 1 all night long. Chase Hauser recorded his second shutout of the season.

Pridham upped his team-leading total to 5 goals on scores assisted by Chris Gaschen in the first half and Mike Hocker in the second half.

The Mustangs return to action on Sunday at 1pm at #24 UC Riverside. The Highlanders lost their opener on Friday 3-1 at home to #3 UCSB.
