Public meeting to discuss proposed PG&E rate increase

The state Public Utilities Commission is inviting members of the community to weigh in on a proposed rate increase by PG&E.

PG&E is proposing to increase some customers' rates at the beginning of 2011 in order to raise $1.1 billion dollars within the year.

The meeting will be held in San Luis Obispo tomorrow at 7 p.m. at 2333 Meadow Street. It is the last in a series of statewide public hearings.
