Oscar Munoz scored the only goal of the game to help the Arroyo Grande High boys soccer team stay undefeated in Pac 7 League play on Wednesday. The Eagles won at Atascadero High 1-0 to improve to 4-0 in league and 9-5-1 overall.
Jorge Hernandez assisted on the lone goal of the game that came in the 25th minute. Munoz, a senior forward, dribbled with the ball inside the box on a breakaway and fired a shot that skipped by the diving Atascadero goalie. Raul Munoz assisted on the score. Danny Montero made seven saves in goal for the Eagles.
The Greyhounds fell to 1-2 in league and 6-7-1 for the year.
AG upset Pioneer Valley 2-0 in its last game. The Panthers are ranked #4 this week in CIF's Division 5 Coaches Poll.
Rafael Ramon buried a penalty kick in stoppage time in the first overtime period to deliver a thrilling 3-2 win for Paso Robles at San Luis Obispo.
The Bearcats led 2-1 in stoppage time in the second half before the Tigers scored to send it to overtime. San Luis Obispo was forced to play with just eight players on the field in overtime after three players received red cards. The Bearcats received the game-winning penalty shot after a Tiger defender was called for a hand ball inside the box.
Paso Robles improved to 1-3 in Pac 7 action, while the Tigers dropped to 1-2.
