Former Cal Poly All-American Ramses Barden made the most of his first career start in the NFL on Thursday night in the New York Giants 36-7 win at the home of the Carolina Panthers.
The fourth year wide receiver caught 9 passes for 138 yards, both were game and career highs for the former Mustang. He entered the game with one catch for 24 yards in two games this season.
In his first three injury plagued seasons, Barden had 15 catches for 174 yards. After Thursday's game against the Panthers, Barden upped his total to 25 catches for 336 yards.
Eli Manning completed 27 of 35 passes for 288 yards and 1 touchdown.
Running back Andre Brown rushed for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns in his first career NFL start for the Giants.
The defending Super Bowl champions were forced to play without running back Ahmad Bradshaw and star receivers Hakeem Nicks and Domenik Hixon.
