The San Luis Obispo Rattlers scored early and often to bounce back for a 9-3 win over the Central Coast Wolfpack on Monday night at Sinsheimer Stadium.
The Rattlers committed six errors in a 6-1 loss earlier in the day to the California Wahoos.
The Rat Pack scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning to take the lead for good. Charlie Sharrer doubled in the first run of the game. Stephen Takahashi followed with a double of his own to score Sharrer. Travis Wilcox capped the first-inning scoring with an RBI single.
Michael Kathan added a run-scoring double in the second inning to score Joe Ventura to make it a 4-0 game. Marc Flores continued his torrid start with a two-run double to score Kathan and Nipomo High graduate A.J. Campos to give the Rattlers a 6-0 lead.
The Rattlers continue their homestand Tuesday when they open a three-game series with the Santa Maria Reds. First pitch is at 6pm Tuesday in Sinsheimer Stadium.
