More offshore winds are expected Tuesday morning which will result in mostly clear skies and very warm temperatures. A cooling seabreeze will develop in the afternoon, stronger than Mondays and arriving an hour or so earlier which will likely produce slightly lower temperatures.
At that, I am still expecting some records to fall. Santa Maria's record for Tuesday is a gettable 94 degrees set back in 1995. I am predicting 96. Monday's 100 broke the standing record of 95.
Paso Robles has a standing record of 103 in 1980, I am predicting 105. Paso Robles only missed a record Monday by 1 (it was 105).
San Luis Obispo will likely miss out on a record for Tuesday, the 109 degree record looks safe as our forecast calls for 98.
