Some elderly occupants are looking for a new place to call home after a fire Sunday morning in Lompoc.

It happened around 2:28 a.m. in the 2000 block of Quail Valley Road in the Santa Ynez Valley.

When firefighters arrived, the one story house had heavy fire coming from the front and attic.

Firefighters say the initial call of the fire was delayed because the occupant did not have a phone and had to travel to Summit Hill.

It took 30 minutes for 75 firefighters to put out the fire.

The Red Cross is helping the occupants find housing.

No injuries have been reported and the cause is still under investigation.
