Detectives with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department, investigators with the FBI and regional law enforcement agencies have a suspected serial bank robber in custody. Forty-four-year-old Anthony William Frisco, who investigators dubbed the "Red Sharpie Bandit", was arrested in Santa Barbara on December 17. Frisco is suspected of robbing at least 15 banks in California, 4 in San Luis Obispo County and 11 in Orange County.
Frisco is suspected to have robbed San Luis Obispo County banks at the following locations:
9/01 - Rabobank at 800 Price in Pismo
10/27 - Chase bank at 1235 Chorro/SLO
12/14 - Wells Fargo - 3900 Broad/SLO
12/14 - Wells Fargo - 555 West Tefft/Nipomo
