Rescue crews use Jaws of Life to free trapped man

A 65-year-old man was trapped inside his car when it rolled over on Highway 101 northbound, one mile south of Los Alamos, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Rescue crews were called to the scene at 2:41 p.m. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the man from the car. He sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
