Organic tomatoes contain more nutrients than those that are conventionally grown.
A Brazilian study compared the weights and properties of tomatoes from organic and traditional farms.
Organic tomatoes were about 40% smaller, but contained higher concentrations of Vitamin C, sugars and lycopene, an anti-oxidant compound.
Researchers speculate the increased stress that organic plants are put under may explain the differences.
