The retired firefighter charged with assisting in his wife's suicide in Los Osos last month was formally sentenced in a San Luis Obispo County Superior Court on Wednesday to two days and probation for the offense of aiding and abetting a suicide.
George Taylor, 86, survived a joint suicide attempt that claimed his wife's life. On December 10th, a state park ranger found Taylor with his wife's body in the back seat of his car in Montana de Oro.
He told the ranger he suffocated her with a plastic bag, then slashed his wrists and neck and tried to suffocate himself.
He pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting a suicide.
