Revised smoking ban goes into effect Thursday in SLO

Smokers in San Luis Obispo will have to be more mindful of where they light up starting Thursday.
That is when a revised smoking ban goes into effect in the city.
It was passed by the City Council last month and covers certain outdoor areas including sidewalks, parking lots, recreation areas and outdoor dining areas.
