A $1,000 Crime Stoppers reward is now being offered in the case of the Nipomo woman killed in a felony hit and run.

The body of 55-year-old Krista Babbitt was discovered early Tuesday morning on the 700 block of Joshua Road.

The California Highway Patrol is asking anybody who may have seen something unusual that morning to call authorities.

Officers are also asking local paint and body shops to notify investigators if they spot a vehicle they believe could have been involved in a hit and run.
