Reward offered for bank robbery information

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspected bank robber.

Officials say there is $1,000 being offered for information about the woman they say robbed the Coast Hills Federal Credit Union in Nipomo on June 27.

Witnesses describe the woman as being in her 30's to 40's, 5'7" tall, wearing sunglasses and wearing a black t-shirt and baseball cap.

Deputies say the woman mentioned having a weapon, but never pulled it out. She left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

If you have any information, you're asked to call the SLO Co. Sheriff's Office at 781-4550, the FBI's Santa Maria office at 346-2728 or Crime Stoppers at 549-7867. You can also text a tip to Crime Stoppers at "SLOTIPS plus your message to: CRIMES (274637).
