Richard's Kid wins Del Mar feature race

DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) - Richard's Kid beat Worth Repeating by 1 1/4 lengths to win the $100,000 Cougar II Handicap Friday at Del Mar for 3-year-olds and up.

Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Richard's Kid covered 12 furlongs in 2:29.22 and paid of $2.80, $2.40 and $2.10.

Worth Repeating paid $6 and $3.80, while Balladry finished another 2 ½ lengths behind and returned $4.40 to show.

The win, worth $60,000, increased Richard's Kid lifetime earnings to $1,986,385.
