The Righetti boys volleyball team tried to complete an epic comeback, but fell short losing 3-1 in the first round of the Division 2 CIF playoffs on Tuesday night.
The Warriors lost to visiting West Ranch 22-25, 19-25, 27-25 and 20-25 to end their season. Righetti was coming off a second place finish in the PAC 7 League.
Frankie Platero led the Warriors with 11 kills, while Colby Fox added 10 kills and 17 digs. Brad Dickson dished out 28 assists and tallied 4 kills. Enrique Rico added 14 digs.
Righetti lost in the second round last year in the CIF playoffs.
The San Luis Obispo boys lost in three-straight games at Oaks Christian 25-13, 25-23, 25-18.
