Rincon High School teacher suspected of child molestation

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department arrested Michael George Carey, 41, a teacher at Rincon High School in Carpentaria Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies arrested the high school teacher on suspicion of felony sexual battery and misdemeanor child molestation.
The charges stem from an investigation into the alleged inappropriate touching of a female student. Carey is being held at the Santa Barbara County Jail on $25,000 bail.
He has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of this investigation.
