The West Grand Avenue improvement project, phase two, in Grover Beach starts Tuesday.
The project involves construction of street and pedestrian improvements along W. Grand Ave. between 8th and 11th Streets.
The city says the goal of the project is to enhance and clearly define the city's downtown core.
The project costs more than one million dollars.
The project is expected to take about three months to complete, weather permitting.
Local businesses will remain open during project construction.
