Roadway reopens after head on crash involving vehicle and motorcycle

The California Highway Patrol says officers are still on scene investigating a crash that happened around 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning on Highway 58 near State Route 229.

CHP says a vehicle and motorcycle crashed head on. At one point, the motorcyclist was laying in the roadway, but the extent of that person's injuries are unknown at this time. It's not clear if the driver of the vehicle was injured.

The road was blocked for about an hour. It reopened just after 8:30 a.m.
