Robber takes pills from Goleta pharmacy

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man who robbed a Walgreens pharmacy in Goleta on Tuesday. It happened just before 1:00 pm at the store on the 5900 block of Calle Real. Sheriff's officials say the man walked up to the pharmacy counter, handed an employee a note demanding a list of prescription medications, and displayed a handgun in his waistband. The employee gave the robber some medications and the man walked away. Deputies searched the area, but did not find the man. He is described as Hispanic, in his early 20s, 5'11", and 170 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, aviator sunglasses, a green plaid shirt, khaki pants, and a dark jacket. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at (805) 681-4150. You can leave an anonymous tip at (805) 681-4171.
