Roll out the Barrels wine festival tickets selling fast

Tickets are still available for the SLO Vintners "Roll Out the Barrels" weekend coming June 21st-24th, but they're selling fast. This is the 22nd year of the annual festival, with 30 wineries from the San Luis Obispo Wine country participating.

The weekend wine event consists of 3 major components: Barrels In The Plaza, Winemaker Dinners & Social Events, and the 2-day Passport to Wine Country.

Barrels in the Plaza happens Thursday June 21st, from 5:30 - 7:30 In San Luis Obispo's historic downtown Mission Plaza. Wineries will partner with local chefs side-by-side offering food and wine pairings.There will also be live music from local Rock & Reggae and Blues band, "Soul Sauce". Tickets are $30 each, and as of this posting there were less than 100 left.

Friday June 22nd is an evening of Winemaker Dinners & Social Events with participating San Luis Obispo Wineries.

Then on both Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th from 11:00 - 4:00 it's time to do some tasting with the Roll Out the Barrels Passport Weekend. The annual two day passport portion allows to visit all 30 member wineries and enjoy the special tastings and events they put on. Tickets are $55, $30 for designated drivers.

"This event portrays the beautiful place that we live, and the bounty it provides for us," says Heather Muran, San Luis Obispo Vintners Executive Director. "Not only is it a great educational weekend, but it is ‘over the top' when it comes to the food and wine presented at all the events. This is the perfect weekend adventure, for both locals as well as for out of town tourists longing for a small town escapes."
