Andy Rowley and Quinton Adlesh stepped up when it mattered the most to help the Mission Prep boys basketball team edge visiting Webb 57-49 in a Division 5AA second round game.

Rowley led the 20-7 Royals with 20 points. Adlesh added 12 points, including 7 in the fourth quarter. Connor Woolpert added 9 for the Royals.

Mission hosts 6th seeded Saddleback Valley Christian next Tuesday in the quarterfinals. Saddleback beat Yshiva 59-54 on Thursday.

Mission led 42-35 to start the fourth quarter. Webb's star guard Silas Gaines led his team back into it with six-straight points to make it a 42-41 game with 5:45 to play. That's when Adlesh hit back to back buckets inside the paint. Rowley hit some clutch free throws and added a layup off a steal from Adlesh.

Gaines finished with a game-high 29 points, three about his season average.
