St. Joseph High graduate Ane McPIke and Mariah Cochiolo, as well as Morro Bay High graduate Dylan Royer are among 23 Cal Poly athletes honored as Big West Conference Winter and Spring All-Academic selections on Friday.
Royer, a junior biology major, ranked fifth among Division I men's basketball players with a 46.5 percent mark from three-point range. He and 14-time Dean's List selection Matt Titchenal, a mechanical engineering major, were the two picks from the men's basketball team.
Cochiolo, a sophomore graphic communications major, started 46 games behind the plate for the softball team in 2012.
McPIke, a sophomore recreation, parks and tourism administration major, finished with a 9-10 singles mark in dual matches for the women's tennis team.
To be eligible for all-academic honors, student-athletes had to have maintained a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, completed one full academic year prior to the season for which the award was received and competed in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
